GUEST DESIGNER - JAINE - TEXTURE

OUR GUEST DESIGNER THIS WEEK IS JAINE - SHE HAS CHOSEN TEXTURE AS HER CHALLENGE FOR US THIS WEEK. HERE ARE JAINE'S EXAMPLES

HERE'S A LITTLE BIT ABOUT JAINE:

I spend most of my time surrounded by bits of paper, ink and glue. Whether its cutting or sticking with children or trying out the latest techniques with friends, I like nothing more than to pass a few hours with stamps and inks. I'm also a bit of a tool junkie. My ideal job would be a tester of all new tools and products that come on the market - I'd work for free!

FIREWORKS

5th of November in the UK is known as Bonfire Night - where for some reason we still celebrate Guy Fawkes trying to blow up the Houses of Parliament in 1605. How long we will be able to continue with Bonfire Night in this era of Health and Safety we can only guess.

But for this week only you can let your imagination rip with some fireworks as this is our theme this week. I've done a Catherine Wheel - one of my favourite fireworks and it doesn't frighten the life out of my dog like the rockets do! Apparently though the firework was named after an intrument of torture, the breaking wheel, on which, legend has it, St Catherine was martyred. Hmm, doesn't sound so nice now does it!

Have Fun and have a safe 5th November.
